A couple years ago, I decided to try and make Alton Brown’s version of the classic Nestle Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie and decided that this is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe (as you might have seen here). The only thing I changed was the size of the cookie. I didn’t have the same size scooper as Alton Brown used in the recipe, so I just used the one I had on hand.
I’ve enjoyed how much simpler my life in the kitchen has become ever since I got a stand mixer. I can multi-task whenever I need to mix something and not have to stand there. It’s such a simple tool, but so helpful. I’ve had this stand-mixer for over a year, but it still amazes me how I lived without it. My stand mixer came with the three usual attachments: paddle, whisk, and hook. I’ve used the first two numerous times, but I’ve never used the hook. I hear how tough it is to bake with yeast because you pretty much need to babysit the dough. However, D- encouraged me to finally make some bread with the hook.
It’s that moment you get home after a long day of work. You have a list of things you want to get done in your head, but your whole mind and body just wants to lie down and watch some good ol’ TV cuz you’re just that tired. That’s how I’ve been feeling lately. For some reason, there’s never anything good on when I want to watch TV.
That’s where TiVo comes in.
TiVo allows you to record all the shows you can possibly think of, but how does my TiVo look like? It is basically my dream Food Network channel. “What do you mean, Krystal?”… you might ask. Well, I will tell you what I mean… in four main points, er, shows.
Chocolate chip cookies are the best cookies ever! Nothing can beat them. You know what makes them even better (and even cuter)? Mini-size chocolate chip cookies! I don’t know what it is about mini-sized foods or any object for that matter, I just find them so much cuter!
Did you know that chocolate chip cookies are the most baked cookie in American homes? Found that out on Good Eats, a great show on Food Network. Well, this is definitely true in my home. Who knows how many times I made chocolate chip cookies. My favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe has always been the Toll House recipe. I think this has changed now that I have tried Alton Brown’s (host of Good Eats) recipe for a chewy chocolate chip cookie.
