Have you ever had the Mother’s iced oatmeal cookies? They’re the crunchy oatmeal cookies with the icing on top… or you can just take a look at the picture here. Yep, it will definitely jog your memory of having these cookies before. If you haven’t, then you can either go buy some or make these cookies right here!
It’s fun to make these cookies for many reasons, or maybe my own adventure… it might not be exciting to others 😛
For one thing, you get to process the oats so that it is a finer texture. It’s kind of fun to see the crunch oats turn into a more powder-like texture.
I got to take action pictures because it was actually light outside! The kitchen usually has terrible lighting, so I struggle to take pictures like these.
D- was also helping me pour ingredients, so I can take more action pictures. Say it with me… “ooooh!”
The dough looks kind of disgusting, but I promise, it doesn’t taste like it.
See, looks like a cookie already.
The cookie has a nice chewy texture when you bite into it. Then when you add the icing, you get a sweet note towards the end. It’s a nice holiday cookie with all the cinnamon and nutmeg it has. 🙂
